• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

SPORTSTER TRIKE

Saw this trike at a local car/bike neighborhood dealer they're asking 19k. kinda cool kinda different. i think it's an 09 sporty, they also have an 09rs silver with some warranty for 12, 5_Preview_-39.JPEG

My H D dealer had a 2011 883 Sporty, New no miles and the Harley warranty that he converted to a trike,
If i remember correctly he wanted 16k, It reminded me of the Honda Big Red 3 wheel ATV.

I think technologically speaking, there is no comparison. Spyder is way superior 👍

I was thinking the same.

for 19K. there are a lot of technology features on :spyder2: that the trike will not have. If I was a dyed in the wool HD person--I am sure I would be thinking differently though.

I've always been a fan of those Lehman trikes, especially the stripped-down no-trunk Sportster versions. They're sharp looking.

In fact, that's what I was first looking at, way back before I bought the Spyder. To be honest, I wasn't sold on the Spyder's looks, and seeing the RS only online and in ads, it looked like too much of a "sportbike" seating position.

It wasn't until I finally sat on one at a dealer when I went, "Oh! THIS is what it's like!" that I was convinced to check them out. A trike class later, and I was sold.

Still, if I had the money for toys, I'd consider a Lehman (although probably not a Sportster-- I like the looks best, but I'm far more comfortable on a Softail or larger).

I get Rider magazine and the current issue must have over a half dozen trike conversions from all the "big boys". Were I to purchase one of those--and I am not--I would probably want a Gold Wing in the conversion.

:agree: Anything built upon the 'Wing foundation is gonna be pretty darn good!
But it still ain't a Spyder! :lecturef_smilie:
