I am trying to get the aux. plug from the trunk to the handlebars, I was going to remove the L.side panel, but the two chrome screws are torx with a center pin it so a regular torx will not work. This is on a 2014RT-S. Has anybody purchased this type of torx tool, where? Also any hints on pulling the wire from the gas tank area up to the steering column would be appreciated. TIA MarcusB

It's a security torx. You can get them at Harbor Freight of Advance Auto !!

The tork with the pin in the center is not to be taken out it has a rubber grumit like the lowerside panels , pull on it, send a wire from your aux to the front for your mp3

No need, the tamper proof fasteners hold in the studs for the rubber mount grommets. Just carefully pull the panel off and it will release from the rubber grommets.

Overall pretty easy.

Common question..!!

there should be a warning by them or change them to buttons but they are not removable. Many have run into these and asked about some special tool. There is one but won't help....agree with those above...:thumbup:
