There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. My lovely wife and I are planning a cross country trip with spyder and camper trailer for our 25th anniversary in July this year. We are leaving Edmonton Alberta and going to the eastern part of Canada. From there would like to return via the U.S. Am looking for info for awesome places to camp/ride/hangout/chill. Unfortunately, we only have one month to complete this journey. Idea's thought's and what have you, please advise. Thank you. SPECIAL NOTE TO DEAN IN THE ATLANTIC PROVINCES, hint hint nudge nudge wink wink. Thank you.:chat:

Greetings,

Congratulations on your 25th Anniversary! :2thumbs:

I don't know how open you are to modifying your plans but my wife is the President of Spyder Ryder of America - NorCal Bay Area Chapter and we are in collaboration with two other California chapters in creating a west coast Spyder event. As you may or may not be aware, all previous events whether put on by BRP or by enthusiasts have been on the east coast or midwest except one. We on the west coast are tired of not having an event in our neck of the woods so we're taking matters into our own hands.

We are planning an event called "Spyders in the Redwoods" to be based in Eureka, CA and the dates for this year will be August 2-4. We are planning for camping and standard lodging, an event dinner at the Samoa Cookhouse, raffles, and several different rides in the beautiful California redwoods which will include a photo-op of riding the Spyder through the drive-thru tree.

Needless to say we would love to have you there but I understand if this would be too much of a change in your plans. If you do have any interest here is the website for the event.

As I said the event is still in the planning stages. We still have to work out several details before we feel we can be ready to open up registration but probably within the next 4-6 weeks we'll start. We already have two dozen confirmed attendants though many of them are members of the committee that is planning the event which is understandable.

Once again, congratulations and hopefully we'll see you in August.

Upstate New York is beautiful and looks to have great roads for riding. Or take the Blue Water bridge from Canada to Port Huron, MI and head north to the Upper Peninsula to Wisconsin and Minnesota. Beautiful country.

Sounds like a great adventure. Happy Anniversary.

If you make it as far as Nova Scotia, the Cabot Trail is awesome.
If you stop over in New Brunswick, Shediac (just outside of Moncton) has an incredible beach (freakishly warm water for that far North).
When heading south thru Maine, Old Orchard Beach near Portland is also a cool area, but avoid it on weekends in summer (try to stop there during the week). About 5 or 6 hrs west of Portland is Lake George in upstate NY - another cool place to stay.

The thing to do is come up with a rough itenerary of what you plan on doing and dates and people along the way can make suggestions on places and things to do. Like me I go to Nova Scotia for the Bluenose Rally on the fourth of July. That area has some of the highest tides in the world. Here in Maine we have our beautiful coastline, mountains and forests. I'm sure people will help you out, especialy Spyderlovers. Have a great trip.:2thumbs:
