Does anyone know if the dates have been set for SpyderFest 2018 yet? We'd like to try to go next year and want to book the hotel room as early as possible.

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

It will be in Springfield Missouri.
After the rash of break-ins @the Lamplighter and the BWCH last year along with the the monsoons that have impacted SpyderFest '16 and 17, I think the MO Gang needs to re-evaluate the timing and the location of the event.

Also having been to the almost complete "The Rock" location of sponsor PitBull Powersports, it may be large enough to be the location, then Bolivar, MO area hotels would be much closer. The roads down into and around "The Rock" had been paved, we took our Spyders down (while at Spyders in the Ozarks) and around the new building, checked out the covered stage and what looked like vendor spots even (Might have just been food and drink vendor spots right by the building and stage area.

I would wait. There was a lot of talk about new dates. Also the rip offs of bikes at a few hotels have created a sour taste in a few mouths.
I'm gonna wait to hear what happens before I start the prepossesses. I can handle the rain but the bikes getting rifled, leaves a bad feeling about returning. Think the same "group" might do it again if the dates get published. Hotel security would have to be beefed up.
