Spark knock

Had a nice three hour ride yesterday, except... Started having spark knock when I went to accelerate from a stop. Other issue that showed up was with cruise control on, :spyder2: started slowing down then speeding back up to set speed. You could see the speedometer drop two to three mph. Did that three/four times before it settled down. I'm guessing the spark knock was probably fuel issue, filled it back up with fresh 97. Will see what that does. Oh, and there was the pollen to, clouds of it. Other than that, great ryde through the back country.

97 Octane???? Here in Chicagoland the best we get is 91!! Must be nice. We also get to pay more than average ($4.59 currently) and get to deal with "summer" and "winter" blends. I just love Illinois.

Just a thought, You might not be starting off from a start with enough RPMs, Especially when the engine is real hot.:dontknow:
