• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just thought I would throw this out there. as i saw another post on those spam e-mails.
Infections, you have cash to collect yadi ya.

I hardly got any those in the past.
Long term member of several bike sites. Talking decades here. Touring , ADV, Classic and Trumpie ones for instance.
Nil or next to nil spam emails.

I have noticed since I joined up here. All of a sudden im getting quite a few every day now.
Suspect it may have something to do with this site possible.
I'm saying possibly may be associated with this site??
Possibly someone has managed to filtrate and get e-mails possibly. Dunno.

Um. I dont think I said its coming from here, but started when I signed on here or there about the dates. There is a difference.
Things like
Your computer has a massive virus , won money, hello Isopedella you have credits ..

Caught in the spam folder and total crap for sure.

May very well be a coincidence. Dunno
Just I thought I would see if anybody else is suddenly getting these in the last 6-8 weeks or so.
Only coming to my dedicated forums e-mail address.

I guess its good its not site related as it seems to be only me.
 
Sorry--I'm not getting any spam like you describe. Maybe check with your e-mail provider as sometimes they update filters and something goes wrong, allowing spam to get through.

I get over 40 spam emails a day usually. Nothing changed in the last few months for me.
 
Until about 60 days ago I was receiving about 50 emails per day. None were associated with this site and most were spam. I began methodically unsubscribing from each and every one of them. It took some time and effort on my part but I was rewarded by eliminating the spam. Now, I receive virtually no spam emails and when a new one pops up I unsubscribe from it immediately. I doubt that this site is the source of your spam problem but I do know how to eliminate them. They are a pain in the rear.

I think you nailed it.
Picked up my new to me Spyder. Bought some bits and joined up here . All around the same time.

So I have set up a special e-mail addy for selected stuff.

Thanks for the tip.
