There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Southern Throttle Rally - Greenville, SC

This is the first year they are having a motorcycle rally in Greenville, SC. It is a 2 day event being held June 4th and 5th.

They are having a free ride in bike show on June 5, starting around 10:00 AM. I am planning on ryding up for that and putting my Spyder in the show. I was thinking it would be really cool if we could get a good group of Spyders to show up for this and we all set up in one section of the show area.

It should be a fairly easy ryde for most owners in SC, as well as the Charlotte and Atlanta area people.

They currently have hotel rooms available for about $80 per night if you want to attend both days. If you pay in advance, you get admission to the event for both days for only $10. More details can be found here: www.southernthrottlerally.com .

So, if anyone else is interested in participating just let me know. I would love to meet some other Spyder Owners there and have a good time together. Oh yeah, I don't expect to win anything at the show but still think it will be fun to show off the Spyder a little bit.

I haven't received any updates about the Ride in Bike Show yet, except that it will be from 10:00-2:00. They are supposed to open at 9:00, so I am going to try to make it there before 10. I figure if you tell them you want to be in the bike show they will direct you as to where to go, and we could all meet there.

I also paid my admission online, received a confirmation email message, but nothing else so far. :dontknow:

According to the weather reports I have seen so far, these storms are supposed to break and hopefully give us decent weather on Saturday. Keep your fingers crossed. :D

See you tomorrow?

Hope the weather holds. I just back from a ride and got caught in a storm, should dry out by then??? I'm hoping some other Spyder folks will be there?

I hope it holds as well. I am currently fighting with a bit of a head cold, but am still planning on going. I should be leaving here at 6 tomorrow morning to make it up there and get into the Bike Show section.

I have been tossing around the idea of taking my rain gear, but I think I will just wear my mesh jacket and take my chances at this point. :dontknow:

Okay, on that note I may go ahead and pack it. :roflblack: After all, it doesn't take up that much extra room in the frunk.

I am going to hit the Nyquil before bed tonight, and will hopefully be good to go in the morning. I am looking forward to meeting you, and hopefully some others, tomorrow as well. You be sure to ryde safe also.

GOODLUCK to you all!!

Thanks Roger. I am not expecting to win anything, just going to have a good time and let more people see the Spyder up close. :D

I will be leaving here shortly, and hope to see some other Spyder Lovers there as well. This cold is not going to keep me down.

I'm a flake

:2thumbs:
Sorry, I was heading up 85 and the fog was pretty heavy and the trucks were just kicking up a ton of water. I turned around, sorry. If we ever get to meet and I explain what's up with my spine, you'll agree I did the right thing. Hope you had a great time.

No problem at all. It was very foggy riding on the 2 lane roads for 1.5 hours trying to make it to the interstate for me. I made it and met up with SCDoc and Ynot, which was pretty cool. SCDoc and I were there for the bike show, and talked to a whole bunch of people about the Spyders. We then went to Quaker Steak and Lube for something to eat, and parted ways after that.

I got caught in a pretty decent storm on the way home, started outside of Columbia and lasted all the way to the other side of it. I was already fighting a head cold, been sucking on Hall's cough drops all day, and that didn't help my resistance at all. I am still at home trying to get over the crud right now. :(

Your turning around may have been a very wise decision, and hopefully we will meet up another time.
