There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I already have 1089 in Vegas. My dealer from San Luis brought it out to me 2 weeks ago while they were delivering some other items. They really went out of their way for me. I haven't got a jacket but they're working on that for me, I guess. Thanks again to Steve, Martin and Kevin at San Luis Motorsports! You guys have made my year!

What I didn't post was that they apparently can't get me a jacket though. I was told that they were told that the jackets were only for the original deliveries back in Nov-Dec and NOT the first 2000-2500 or 3000 whatever's going on! I called BRP myself a couple of times and they'll only deal with the dealerships on this and not any individuals. SHAME ON YOU BRP!
gr8fulgolf, when did you place your order? This was always my understanding of the jacket distribution:gr8fulgolf said:
"The 2500 "first owners" group was a North American promotion. It was intended for owners who actually pre-purchased a Spyder between Feb 9, 2007 and Sept 15, 2007 to be part of an exclusive club as owners of Premier Spyders. All in that group are entitled to the free jacket from BRP."
So the issue is not when the Spyders were delivered; it was when they were ordered. If you were part of the group that ordered between Feb. 9/07 and Sept. 15/07, you should be entitled to a jacket. Otherwise, it would appear you are not.

That makes a little more sense to me than m getting #1089 and not getting a jacket even though I ordered past Sept. I think I actually placed my order around the end of Oct. It's not that big a deal it's not like I don't own a jacket or I couldn't buy one on EBAY or something. It's the first 2500 thing that got me confused.

I live in Vegas (Henderson) and am awaiting delivery of a SE5. :2excited: There is a silver SM5 running around my general neighborhood - I see him all the time, but haven't had the chance to talk to him yet.
From our local dealer (Proshop motorsport), there are currently 7 on order besides mine - so there should be a bunch of us riding around "soon".

thanks for the welcome! The deliver by date is November 30th, but I am hoping that it will be in September or October since the rumor is they are really stepping up the production on the SE5's and I ordered the most abundant color (silver). I was hoping we could organize a local group - so count me in for sure :cheers:. All of us riding around Vegas should turn some heads for sure!
