There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. South Street Philly Run

Let's Ride Sunday!

I am running with Warriors' Watch on Saturday but they don't have any missions scheduled for Sunday. If you all want to meet up at the Trooper Road Wawa we can run my Germantown Pike route.

Here is a link to the Rally Point:
http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&q...tlif129989633933910&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wl

We could all meet there at noon and gas up for the run. A small fleet of Spyders cruising through Philly would be great.

I will wait until 12:30 at the Wawa and then head out. If you want to contact me send a PM and I can give you my cell number.

Chris,

Hope you had a good run today. I went up to Blackman's and got my DPS replaced. They normally won't do a DPS replacement on a Saturday, but when I called they said they weren't that busy, so I could bring it in. Took a couple of hours, so between the hour ride up, the two hours there, and the hour back, I had no shot of catching up with you guys.

The new DPS really did make a difference on my bike - much more responsive at speed. Interested to see how it feels when riding two-up.

Hopefully, you had a bunch of spyders on the ride through philly.....

Steve

Sunday 3/13

Forcast for tomorrow:

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 52. West wind between 10 and 17 mph

I will be at the Wawa as planned until 12:30. All are welcome and we can have a late lunch on South Street.

Steve, I did two runs today. An honor mission for the Grandfather of a Warriors' Watch Rider and a belated Welcome home for one of our Soldiers. The first was very appreciated by the family of Sgt. John Briley, and the second was Rock Star for Army Spc. Manuel Rivera.

If you want to test out the new DPS meet me at the Trooper Road Wawa. We can jump on 422 first if you want to test it at speed and then head to the city.

Hey Chris,
Sorry we missed you today - got to Trooper Rd at 12:40.:opps: I left my house at 11:15- according to mapquest the trip should have taken 45 minutes.
We all know that Yellow :f_spider:is faster than White:chat: so, I tried to catch up with you taking the Germantown Pike route; however, you had a 25 minute lead and I never saw you or any other spyder. The weather wasn't that great--COLD,WINDY, CLOUDY but, had a great day. Stopped on South Street for homemade Snapper Soup, went to City Tavern for a brew (my son is a waiter there) and headed home. When we got closer to home, we continued ryding, just added face mask for warmth and kept going. We'll catch up with you another time for the :spyder:'s in the city.
COME ON SPRING!!

Karen

Karen,
I am glad you had a great day riding. I only missed you by 10 or 15 minutes so next time I will stay at the rally piont a little longer. I do love the idea of :spyder:'s In The City.
When the weather is better we can try to do a ride with all the South Eastern PA SpyderLovers and it will be called "Spyders In The City"

I will make a seperate thread for it when the time comes and see who wants to ride.

Chris

SOUNDS GREAT! Know my way aroud center city pretty well. klw- where did you get the snapper soup from on South St.(one of the irish pubs) Have eaten at City Tavern in Old City 3 or 4 times. Very nice atmosphere, food good and pleasant staff. The pud area is unique with house made brews named after the likes of Washington, Jefferson. Nice outdoor seating area as well.

South Street Diner - next to Pady Wacks. It was great - gotta like it with
a bite (spicy) or you won't have the same opinion as me. South Street was
a little active with the Patty's Day Parade. There were bag pipes playing
all over. I've never been down there on Patty's Day but,
a few people started the party on Sunday. (It's all good)

I like the beer tasting at City Tavern. Yesterday it was recommended that
I try a warm madeira with spices. It was good and warm (just what I needed
for the cold ride home) I put a six pack of beer in my trunk for home.

If you guys are serious about a ride in the city, I'll help with anything I can.
There's much to see and do down there. Make sure you include a cheese
steak stop for the guys in NY.

Spring is on the way..I have a few flowers sprouting up! The Koi in the pond are a little more active  Spyder Season is approaching.
Ride Safe!

:2thumbs:I'm riding around my area, but for philly I'm punkish. I need it to be 60-70 out . Thanks klw that spicy soup sounds good I forgot about that place (I hate that chain Irish paddywacks though McGillians is the oldest/best real Irish in the city) I remember you mentioning that your son worked at City Tavern, cool. A good place to go on south for beer (and food) is Brauhaus Shmitz. Great selection of german beer on tap - cool glassware. Ask for a "Boot" of Optimator most people will only need/want one if spydering It's a BIG beer (8%+abv) in a big glass. If you like rich n spicy soup the one to get here is the Goulash. Add some bread and the cheese spread.....good to go! Would be a good place to hit on a city spyder run. May find parking a block or two past as it's not as busy at that end. Come on spring!
