• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does anyone have a good suggestions as to what I may add to my std. seat that may help in not having what is known as "Monkey Butt" after riding a while?
I already have the backrest.
Is it the std. RTS seat even though it seems to be very comfortable.

Bead rider or Alaskan sheepskin or biker gel pants are some items used. Personally I rode 1000 miles in 24 hrs earlier this week while using standard seat and simply shifting my position occasionally and did not experience any problems

I would try a Beadrider.

beadrider.com

It really keeps you cool. You really notice it in the cool weather when you're riding and you're thinking, "Daym, my butt's cold!"

I have both a sheepskin/gel seat cover and a Airhawk cushion. I put on one, the other, or both on when the need arises.

You didn't indicate the riding load on the bike; are you sure you are not bottoming out (weak rear shock spring)?

If this is the case, no seat will help you on long rides.

Sheep Skin from Misty Mountain. Works great for me and the ladies all like it. ;)

:agree:..............saw Misty Mountian this weekend at SpyderPalooza and got my third sheep skin from them. They have lots of colors to pick from and their prices are the best I have ever found!:firstplace:

Monkey butt is usually referred to as the red from chaffing, and I'll put a +1 on a beadrider for that....along with anti-monkey butt powder.

For soreness...I tried airhawk, and beadrider, but didn't help with the sore. I went with an aftermarket seat with backrest and it seems much better.

Choices choices..!!

gel cushion, sheepskin, beadded, air cushion to mention a few. Different seat which can be costly. If you ryde with others or attend rallies check out others. Our sponsors may help as well...

BEADS

I use a 'Beaded Seat' covered by a sheep skin...
NO monkey butt, no sore butt, just a nice comfortable ride...

Air Hawk R

Air Hawk R is great! $150.00 beats the heck out of $1000.00 for a new Ultimate or Corbin. Its removable and I can switch it over to my Harley Ultra Limited whenever I want. Love it! I just did about 800 miles with it over the last 4 days on my RT-S and had no problem with comfort at all.

I tried an Air Hawk R. Didn't help. Got a refund.

I tried a gel and foam cushion. Didn't help. Dogs ate the cushion, so I couldn't get a refund.

Now, I've got an Ultimate Seat on order. I'll let you know how it works.

Remember, everyone's tush is different.
