• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Something to check on your own machine

I have a 2012 RS..while trying to see if the lower plastic panels were necessary , in the hopes of keeping the engine and gas a little cooler, I found this..It was pressing into the hose..after a period of time, I am certain it would have worn a hole in it..so when I have time I will be taking the panel off anyway, if for nothing else, to correct this mistake and make sure the hose fits in properly.DSC00541.JPG

Thanks..!!

have noticed it and don't think any of them fit right. You are right in that this could present a problem down the road so far I have seen no wear on the hose but have thought of trimming it away or adding a hose protector. Thanks for the reminder..!! :2thumbs:

All the ones I've seen fit the same way and all the machines I've had my hands on I've made the opening a bit wider by trimming back some of the plastic.
There are a handful of rub areas that I have not been overly comfortable with. The other biggie that I have seen is on the same side of the motor where the main fuel line connects at the banjo fitting. I have seen quite a few with the stock airbox pushing th fuel line against the motor. A few I've seen have some rub marks that I'm sure would have rubbed through given time......

what the guys said above

I'm taking it off and dremelize it and put a protective cover on the hose..also looks like the other side comes off too...thanks Drew ...and what other rub spots have you found.. might as well clean them all up in one fell swoop..

The 3rd one I've seen a few times now is on the same side of the motor and runs from the air control valve to the side of the motor.
All 3 are on the right side. It gets pretty tight in there...

Here is the pic I posted of the first two areas (red arrows) . These were areas that were starting to show wear on a machine with probably less than 1000 miles (don't remember exactly). Only minor since it was caught early, but the fuel line toward the rear showed wear through the plastic split loom... I'd imagine bad things at higher miles or later in years.....View attachment 91623
