I was going to trade my 2012 RS-S SE5 tomorrow on a different bike. This is a Can Am Dealer feeding me this line of BS. They offered me $13800 in trade which I though was fair. This afternoon the sales manager and I use that term loosely e-mails me and tells me no deal. His boss reviewed the deal and he made some excuse telling me that he thought I was trading in a RT-S SE5 and the $13800 value was for that bike. He had pictures of my bike in his possession for 24 hours and said that he never even looked at them until his boss supposedly pointed out his error. I am in Canada and the Spyder values are a bit higher here than in the USA. NADA Guides give this bike an Average Retail Value of $17523.00 CDN and the NADA Guides give the RT-S SE5 an average retail value of $24145.00 CDN. Somehow I think I am being given the shaft on this. Really disappointed as I had my heart set on this trade. What do you think? Is something stinky here?

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Value is different here in the US if I were you I would go back and tell them the deal was with the first sales men. Good luck.

I think something is amiss. I would find another dealer quick. If they don't know the difference in writing or pictures they should not be dealing spyders. I could maybe see a mixup with theRS/GS/RSS and really pushing it the ST...sorry looks like things were going your way...:sour:

my wife's pulled that one on me a couple times, never had or wanted a dealer do it :yikes:
