• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

somethign we cannot do in a spyder..lol

Was at a gas station one afternoon, heard a rocket winding up from a ways off. Next thing I knew he came blasting through traffic, blew a red light and dissappeared down the road. Sheriffs deputies were a few seconds behind him, one had his Charger wound out, or as we say here, he had it in the wind, the poor Crown Vic just couldn't keep up with either one. State Trooper nailed him down the road. They clocked him at 145 mph. Reason for running? Didn't have his DL with him. IDIOT! As to the rider in the video, hope he learns to slow down before it's too late.

My 2008 Hayabusa has been electronically limited at the factory to 186 mph (300 kph) as per a "voluntary" agreement between the motorcycle makers. That limiter however can be defeated with a little $20 part. Still, the difference between 186 mph and 202 mph when you're in the seat is hard to tell--let's just say it's insanely fast! Of course, I wouldn't know--I just know what others have told me!

from my expediences there is a huge difference between 170 and 195. most rockets will hit about 160-170 true speed but there is about 15% error build in, the first time I hit 178 was on a 02 r6 with no lid, wind noise is similar to a white out for your ears.

I also compare it going to plaint in space balls.

:yikes: How many riders do you know that can actually control a bike at those speeds??
A faster version of the aforementioned Lawn Darts! :gaah:

every motogp bike will break 200mph and at the last race on sunday in Italy the top speed was by rossi in the straights was 215.9mph and that is in traffic, hell stoner hit a guy in the shoulder at 120mph to push him out of his line and he just shifted out and kept going.

even the piss poor ama series bikes hit 165mph.

Speed is a relative term, fast to a harvey danielson sportster rider with sunglasses and a grave digger wife beater on is 90mph.

You get used to the speed and racers always want more, but its just part of the equation, you need to be able to stop fast to go fast and keep the tires on the ground with the right suspension.

I wasn't talking about professionals on two wheels...
I even doubt that they'd ride like that on the street anyway.

I am sure most don't now but they all started somewhere.

I would too if I could afford it but alas I am not that rich so I have to use a public track like this guy and all other non rich types.

Just so we are clear once you get to lane splitting more that One group of cars that is too much cow bell for me but that is my risk level.

:hun: A public track???? I think that they're called roads; filled with folks who really have enough trouble keeping their cellphones and coffees from dropping into their laps. :yikes:

As much as I denigrate their skills, I would never dare to put them at risk.

Yeah, but you know the cops anyway so they won't bother you. :roflblack:
