• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Some Things I have Learned

I am about 1 mile away from my 600 mile service and check-up for my 2012 Spyder RSS (Nitro Green). I took possession of the "Puff" on July 10, so I have had the bike for 11 days. First, would I recommend a Spyder to other riders? Yes, and without any reservations. I love riding this machine and find myself looking for excuses to take a short ride and they are not hard to find. I love the way it corners and sprints down the straight away, I love the SE5 transmission and the control it gives me over the machine while taking some of the drudgery of shifting away. Good storage, it is fun to give folks a ride, I can go on and on about it. I found the do's and don'ts for new Spyder riders very valuable and am sure that it helped me not make some mistakes that I would have made. The advice on having a gentle hand and light touch with the Spyder makes all the difference, this machine will drive itself if handled gently. I forget the poster but the suggestion to ride with one hand when safe to do so also demonstrated the great tracking and very little input needed for smooth riding. I had the factory backrest installed on purchase and my riding companions have enjoyed it, so I guess that was my first mod. I am working on becoming ever more proficient in cornering but am comfortable with the change. I did notice that after about 300 miles everything settled in and riding the Spyder became natural and very comfortable. So, the biggest thing I have learned is that I should not have waited so long!

I got my 2012 RT Limited, 3 days ago and I have almost 200 miles already. I am loving it, it rides great and I am getting better with the handling. Looking forward to many more miles. Heading our to Daytona and Sanibel Island tomorrow. Can't wait.
