• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Some questions on the 2015 Spyder RT Limited

Here's the thing..!!

these machines are the best they can be in an attempt to satisfy all ryders. Does it succeed..?? Of course not. Do you need to change..?? Your the one to decide. When and if you do change thing, change the things that you feel will make you safer..then more comfortable and finally glow in the dark...ryde it and decide..

you won't know some of these answers till you spend some time in the saddle.

on our 15RTL I found the stock seat much better than the one on our 13RTL. In fact I ended up going with an Ultimate Seat on my 13. So far on the new 15 I am fairly happy with the stock seat.

I personally like the sway bar but YMMV.

I went with shock stiffeners from Doc Holiday and it really helped the stock shocks.

I am close to purchasing a 2015 RT Limited and have several questions.

1. Seats. Is it necessary to change to seats?
OEM Comfort seat or others.

a. After you get some miles on it your a** and bones may not like the OEM seat. Everyone's butt is different.

The Comfort seats specs show 2" set back...Does this make the passenger seat area smaller. Pretty small as is.

Is this a good idea?

b. Look very closely at the catalog or online and you can see how BRP pinches the extra two inches. My wife finds the passenger seat comfortable but she doesn't ride a lot and I don't use a backrest.

You would think for what they are charging, it should already come with the best seat.

c. I purchased the Comfort seat because of my size. It was a considered lower cost gamble than substantially more expensive aftermarket seats. I find it supremely comfortable. Remember a above.

2. Also, the Dealer insists that you do not need the BajaRon Sway Bar and Links or Shocks replacements. He tells me that this was true for the 2013 and earlier models.

There seems to be a difference of opinion from what I have seen on this Forum.

a. I believe if you look at all the posts regarding the Ron's bar you will see the majority, including me, say it's a big plus. I sometimes push my bike hard and I think without Ron's bar I'd be very dissatisfied with the body roll in the twisties and in strong crosswinds.

3. Is it worth it to purchase the Tri-Axis adjustable handlebar?

a. I purchased them because of getting the Comfort Seat and have adjusted them a couple of times to fine tune my bar positioning. I like 'em.

4. I did a test ride and it seems that the shifting of the gears is rather clunky. Is this normal?

a. If you do not roll off the throttle when shifting it is smooth. Unless you're riding aggressively for performance let the engine do the downshifting. If you want even smoother shifting switch to full synthetic oil at your first change. At least that's what I have experienced with Mobil1 4T 10W-40.

Thanks for your help.
