• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Some new tech.

It is scary to think this is needed. :yikes:
But, as many cage drivers that text etc. while driving, I'm sure there are a percentage of people that need to have that up to the second connection with their many, many friends and the world, regardless of what they are doing. Lucky for them they live in this decade and not 40 or 50 years ago.

I don't see any problem with it. There are a lot of members that use a gps, headsets for communication, and a stereo; aren't those distractions too?

Hi Wylie,
I know the I'm the "Old-Fashioned Stick in the Mud" in here... :opps:
But I think that a heads-up display should only show stuff that involves the "riding part" of the exercise.
Phones and text messages should be dealt with prior to the ride...

Off my soapbox now... :D

Very Cool...

I can see where it will do well . I personally would not use one those who matter know where I am and that I will get back to them when I am stopped somewhere. I can answer the phone on my com unit and see my gps if I use it..

I use my GPS for that, but only to see who is calling. If I have to talk, I pull off the road. If I have my headset on, my phone tells me who is calling or texting, and the same applies, if I need to talk, I pull off the road.

You are right. I use a GPS and a headset to talk with my passenger. I guess my knee jerk reaction was focused on the phone portion of the video.

Another stick in the mud type here. When I ride, I don't want to be distracted by phone messages. That's one of the reasons I ride, as in, peace and quiet. :roflblack::roflblack:

That said, looks like a great accessory for those who are really into high tech.

Did I miss pricing? Am guessing north of $1K.

You and I got into this before; so, I leave it. I'll only say that my phone is placed in the trunk, and only pulled out when I stop.
