• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

some mods done...what next?

Hi
Just finished installing the carbon fiber dash kit, looks GREAT. Made a picture. Have also included a turn signal indicator as the green fimble light on the multicoloured fancy display did not seem to hit the eye much. Now the bright potent LED shines me in the face. the 5 dollar modification comes recommended. Location?, after much deliberation between my left and right side of the brain it was agreed to go on the speaker grill. See picture

Hi Fast Fraser man, my spyder is a 2012 RT LTD, and Yes, Yol, the brake light is on the list.
The turn indicator light, Bob, I purchased two white LED's from the local electronics shop. Made up a LED holder from a switch I butchered by drilling out the internals and fitted the LED in, fastened by some epoxy ( 2 component araldite) so the LED would be firm in the holder.
Drilled a hole in the speaker grill..most painfull:yikes:

Purchased two 5 cent resistors to fit in line with the LED ( each 330 ohm, 1/2 watt) and soldered the lot to a cable, pushed it through the many openings behind the speaker grille and soldered it to the two wires going to the light to pick up the turn signal..there you go. Make sure you have the polarity correct as the LED only works when connected correctly.
 jos

LED TURN INDICATOR

BOB I DID POST THIS ELSEWARE BUT , YOU CAN ACTUALLY PURCHASE A SMALL SINGLE LED IN 5 COLORS FROM YOUR LOCAL AUTO PARTS STORE.....THE HEAD IS ABOUT 1/2 IN ..BUT I HAVE SEEN SMALLER ONES....ONLY TWO WIRES ...NOT MARKED ,IT DOESN'T MATTER....I USED PHONE CO. WIRE IN THE ACTUAL PLUG CONNECTORS AND IT WORKS FINE ...NO SHORTS....NO WRONG CONNECTIONS...ETC...JUST BE SURE TO STRIP THE WIRE AT LEAST AN INCH BEFORE YOU PUT IT IN THE PLUG....IT'S A TIGHT FIT.....BUT IT WILL GO......GOOD LUCK.....I DID IT ON MY G/S....MIKE.....SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS..:opps:......PS THE LED'S FROM THE AUTO PARTS STORE ARE MADE for THE PURPOSE I USED THEM FOR SO NO ALTERATIONS ARE NEEDED AND NO POLARITY.......ONE IS HOT..THE OTHER IS GROUND IT DOESN'T MATTER WHICH.....MIKE
