• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

That picture about covers what riding in New York City does to the average Hamster... :yikes:
Get North of the Tappan Zee... and everything changes!
Easy Rider 1969.jpg

Drove into midtown Manhattan [49th and 5th] 6 days a week for 30+ years.
Nothing to it, It's just the nimrods that get frazzled..:roflblack:
Haven't been in Manhattan for 12 years now, Kinda miss playing bumper cars '
With the yellow cabs.......

The last that we were in NYC; it was almost 8 year's ago, when the Missus was having her transplant surgery...
Were it not for that most important reason to be there; you'd never catch me that far South of the bridges...

I haven't driven to New York City since my brother moved out of the Bronx . . .but compared to what I faced commuting to DC on a daily basis, it was a walk in the park. When I was transferred to the Pentagon from Hawaii, a friend, a life long DC resident, told me there are two kinds of drivers in Metro DC, ":cus: and people learning to be :cus:." He was right!

nyc

after 35+ years of traveling in the city on work days i try to never go back in there, i had a friend and her daughter come stay with me for a couple of days and we went in the city to see the sites around Christmas time. NEVER AGAIN

I like my roads up here...
I can ride for ten minutes at a time and not see a vehicle!
Deer, bear and woodchucks... they pop up on the radar quite a bit more often! :yikes:

As the weather cools, those deer are going into rut . . . watch yourself out there, Bob! Down here, you don't have to hit one . . . they will run into you!

visited nyc many times growing up. Then moved to Stamford Conn and may have been to nyc two times in 9 years. But I looked that way when folks came to visit and wanted to go to nyc. I took them to the train and said call me when your headed back...:roflblack:
