Hi Guys! I just got back from a quick 25 mile "Test Flight". I finally got my courage screwed on tight enough to tackle adjusting the preload on the Elka shocks. A bit of background... With BajaRon's Anti-SwayBar and the Elkas on the RT; it turned and handled like an entirely new machine. Cutting the bars and changing directions all handled in one fluid motion. But I was concerned that the ride might be a bit too firm over the long haul, so an adjustment would need to be tried... So, after jacking up the bike and pulling out the proper Allen key and "prybar" that came with the shocks, I took a deep breath and hit it! I took three turns out on the preload; only because I didn't have a clue as to what I needed to do, but I needed to start somewhere... Well; after 25 miles, here's the deal... There is a hint of softness introduced into the turning process. It definitely isn't quite a fluid as it was; but it's still WAY better than as-purchased! :2thumbs: I think that I'll leave it as-is, and my fear of all of the new parts up front has been abated!
