• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

soft bags anyone ever tried them?

I have a set of Corbin soft bags and I love them. I take them off when not using them and they are easy to put back on when we go on trips. They have worked out well for me. :2thumbs:

soft bags

I have a set of cortech soft bags that were graciously donated from another SPYDERRYDER, they work very well and hold lots of goodies. They do however cause some greif when loaded for the re-fuelling process, it is not impossible to do just more work than necessary, am now looking at building a rear carry rack for bags and camp stove etc, and not interfer with re-fuelling. Hope ya have a good trip. Wish I could be there.:2thumbs:

:dontknow:
Don't know about the Cortech bags, but they look similar to the Nelson Riggs 950. The 950,s fit good on the Spyder. That's what i use. they also fit my Kaw. ER-6n.

I have the Nelson Riggs 850s. Not quite as "attractive" as the 950's but they carry a lot more gear. They also fasten with velcro under the seat so I just take em off when I don't need 'em.

its only 1300 miles, .got to work till 5am sleep for a bit and , get up at noon, leave at 1 leave, may try to make it in one shot, will have to see how it goes.

Ryde safe, as we we would all like to see you there. The bags should work very well for you too.

Sounds like they are a go! I have wondered about soft bags myself. Ride safe man and have fun!

My wife has the same bags. We have them locked and loaded and heading out to SITS. They fit very well, had to length the velrco on top , and tied off to foot pegs and rear to handlebar.
