There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. So who am I going to see at the BRP event in June?

Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum.

Just to give you a heads up, dltang mentioned staying in Pomona in KOA, not sure what KOA is, but I'd stay away from Pomona, not a good area to stay.

Not sure what's your budget and how far you want to traval to the event in Hollywood and Universal Walk. Pomona is about 25 miles, depending on traffic, it could take 45 minutes.

I can put a list of area to stay that is in a good area if you guys want. send me a PM so I know who is interested

us city folks need to venture into outdoors little more often:D
Koa is a camping ground and I am assuming this one is right by the fairplex away from most of the problematic area. Just to be on the safeside, you probably don't want venture too far south of I10.
Lv2ride come on out for ryde on April 18th. Let's go see what a mountain looks like:D:joke:

And folks don't stay near hollywood or. Universal studio. Hollywood is well Hollywood and you would pay more for same room a short distance away

Lamonster, my wife just talked me into passing on the San Diego event and we are going to join you folks at the BRP event. Can't wait to meet everybody! See you all there.

dragonheart-Yes, I believe we did meet at the visitors center. If I remember correctly you had just learned that your Spyder had arrived at the dealer that day or the day before.

We are about 40 miles southwest of Guntersville. It is really pretty there. We have ridden over there to the State Park several times.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again.
I think we have decided against the camping thing. We are going to see what hotel recommendation BRP is going to make on April 20th.
We are planning on 500-600 mile days leaving here probably on Sunday, June 21st.

Count in Dragonheart (Gayle) and hubby (Jerry) from Bristol, TN. We want to meet up with everyone at some point. As Lamont and I have discussed, we really prefer to take more 600 mile days getting out than what appears to be 1000 mile days.

Deb, I think you are meaning "Pomona" and not "Ponoma" where you will settle in California; is that right? We used to live not from from Pomona, and I haven't heard of a Ponoma (but seeing your description of it being 35 miles away, it sounds the same). Just trying to make sure this isn't somewhere else.

We would love to stay wherever the majority of the group is staying. Also waiting to hear what hotel arrangements BRP is going to make, if any. Traffic in L.A. can be a real pain, and even though Pomona can be 35 miles east of L.A., which doesn't sound like much, but it can be bumper to bumper making a 20 minute drive turn into 2 hours.

SpyderCrazy, we met you at Spyders in the Smokies at the Visitor Center. I was riding with my husband Jerry on his ST which he wound up trading for a GoldWing while we were at the barbeque. Please refresh my memory as to where in AL you are, as he has family in Guntersville. Thanks!

Dragonheart, you are right, it is Pomona, just a bit of a misprint on my part. We only have reservations there for two nights, waiting to see what we are going to do for the next two. We may have a place to stay, if not we are considering camping. Of course, depending on what BRP puts together, I wouldn't be at all upset grabbing a nice room close to event if it's not too pricey. Guess, we'll know more come April 20th.

:sour: We already planned our vaca's to TX and TN this year.

Maybe a little more warning for next year??? and then we can plan for it.

Unfortunately, I have to choose my vaca in NOV month of the year for the following year.:barf:That's always been a pain...but...I have a job:rolleyes:

Maybe all who can make it can try to get a heads up for next year.;)

Hope you all have a great safe time - PICS!!!

Well, it will be tough, but I guess I can make the forty-five minute drive from Long Beach. I'll be there.

BRP Event

I'm from Arizona and will be there.
The ride across the desert will be a dry heat. Temperature wil be in the 100's. Make sure to have a lot of water and stop offen. Early morning crossing or evening after 6:00 pm. welcome

If there are any riders in or around the Bay Area who want to meet up and cruise down together on Friday hit me up. It's always better to travel in small groups if you can.

My suggestion is if you arrive Thur and Friday, anywhere near LA area get there between 10 am and 2 pm. The weekend should be fine

Are you spydering the whole way or are you flying in? Quebec will be quite a haul by spyder.

I will be going all the way to los angeles in spyder, to meet my wife at LAX (she will be flying in) Then i will follow the west cost all the way up to vancouver.

Yes it will be a very long haul!!!!

We are also riding out by spyder, we are leaving June 22nd out of Michigan. Daddydarko is joining us, he is from the west side of the state. We are taking the southern route out and meeting up with Lamont and BajaRon in Oklahoma. There are a number of riders that want to meet up and ride part of the way through Missouri as well, and ataDude in Oklahoma and Dragonheart in Arizona. So if any of this is on your route and you want to meet up and join us for any part of the ride, let us know.

My better half (fish65) and myself will be making the long journey from wetminster, ca. lol, to be there. He is a bit bumbed because he's coming on his Vstrom. Maybe a :spyder2: for him next tax season. For all of you syderlovers that are actually making a long trek be careful and ride safe. It will be great to meet you all. :2thumbs:
