• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

So who am I going to see at the BRP event in June?

Just a word of advice. Forget the gauge and fill up frquently, at least out West. If you get gas, then pass another station 40 miles down the road, it could be 140 to the next one. You end up stranded. Fill up often, and if on the Interstae, display the gas stations on your GPS and peek ahead on your route, so you can plan extra stops if you have a long stretch to cover between stations.

Awful nice of you aka, I know we have reservations for the night of the 24th & 25th for a Cabin at the KOA in Ponoma. Not sure what time we will arrive on the evening of the 24th but I have a hunch we may be whipped. When it gets closer to arrival time, we can trade phone numbers and see about taking you up on that dinner though. :2thumbs::chat:

Demopkg and I are planning to go also. I asked for the time off today at work and was given the o.k. YEAH!
We will probably leave Alabama on June 21st and arrive in CA on the 24th. We will probably be doing the camping thing also.

Hey SpyderCrazy, that sounds great!! Can't wait to meet everyone. Yeah camping is a cheap way to go when you are spending so much on everything else. Just and FYI 35 miles outside of LA in Ponoma is a KOA, they have cabins for $55 per night. They aren't available on Friday and Sat. but if you are getting in on the 24th like we are, they were still available on the night of the 24th and 25th. I didn't even think to check to see if they had tent sites for the other two nights, but I will have to check that and then we can just stay there if our other plans for Fri and Sat don't pan out.

Count me in, Lamonster. I would love to see you all Spyderlovers. I will bring my pimped up Spyder by that time. It's still in the works and getting a new look. (Sharon)

Count in Dragonheart (Gayle) and hubby (Jerry) from Bristol, TN. We want to meet up with everyone at some point. As Lamont and I have discussed, we really prefer to take more 600 mile days getting out than what appears to be 1000 mile days.

Deb, I think you are meaning "Pomona" and not "Ponoma" where you will settle in California; is that right? We used to live not from from Pomona, and I haven't heard of a Ponoma (but seeing your description of it being 35 miles away, it sounds the same). Just trying to make sure this isn't somewhere else.

We would love to stay wherever the majority of the group is staying. Also waiting to hear what hotel arrangements BRP is going to make, if any. Traffic in L.A. can be a real pain, and even though Pomona can be 35 miles east of L.A., which doesn't sound like much, but it can be bumper to bumper making a 20 minute drive turn into 2 hours.

SpyderCrazy, we met you at Spyders in the Smokies at the Visitor Center. I was riding with my husband Jerry on his ST which he wound up trading for a GoldWing while we were at the barbeque. Please refresh my memory as to where in AL you are, as he has family in Guntersville. Thanks!
