There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Guess I owe y'all an explanation. Not posting this for sympathy or pity. Don't need any of it.
Part of the good bye is due to the s**t going on here on SL. It may be that my skin is a little thin lately.
The other and more pressing, the demons have reared their ugly heads again. So I need a break from everyday things to get stuff squared away. Some of you know what I mean.
I may be back, just not sure.

i too abandoned SL because of the same reason..... after a COOL DOWN PERIOD, i got over it.... rest up, think about it... and remember, 98% OF US LOVE TO READ YOUR POST... so sit back, have a beer and some pop corn, and think about how us 98% will feel if you never come back....
as for the SLINGSHOT.... well, best of luck with it... but i'm moving up to a new F3-S after 6 yrs with my ABSOLUTELY PERFECT RS SE5.....
best of luck in whatever you decide to do...
