• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

So... I got an F3 as a loaner - Not for me

Just like the original RS and GS models, you'll need to do something about wind if you're gonna tour.
The torque and power of the F3 blows any of the other models out of the water. An RSS simply isn't gonna keep up. The seating position and handling are hands down amazing.
Sure it's not for everyone, and I loved my GS.... But the F3 is just bad a$$. Roll on the throttle and she breaks loose... Tons of power.
I'll have one ... Just not sure when.

Hmmm wanna race - u gonna be humbled - I went into to the F3 w a negative attitude and came away impressed - so I'm not against it but I believe Can-Am missed the mark - yes it has a lot of torque - and it is amplified because their is no windshield- I have standard trans and like the high rev powerband -- the F3 should of been released w atleast 160plus HP --115 is disappointing -as for seating position my GS has foward pegs in the same position as the f3 plus has the normal pegs for both seating positions also have 2 " riser with aftermarket bars very comfortable riding position ride over 30000 last year . F3 seat is lower which Aids in the F3 Suspension that blows mine away it definitely an improvement- and here's a big one - what where they thinking on putting that small of a frunk on the F3 - I am 49 like it loud and fast I've said this before some peeps don't get the need for HP and that's fine for them but I have the need for speed and that will never get old.

I have owned 4 Canam spyders a 2011 RSS a 2013 STS a 2014 RTS and now 2015 f3S, each bike has it fit I cut my teeth on the RSS & STS. My RTS was the most fun I have had on a full dressed machine. I had elks shocks baha Ron anti sway bar, and federal 595 tires, and a toyo rear tire, if you weren't on a sport bike in the mountains you were in the way. Now my f3S is awesome most who are test riding an f3 aren't broken in and a little Dow. On power as the brake in is 3000 miles I have 6000 miles on my f3 trust me it has a lot of power much more the v- twin motor my bike is 3 months old

I find it funny

I like the F3 but I wont be buying one for a few years until the deals come out. I really enjoy my rss. With that said I ride every weekend with a buddy that's on a Harley fat boy. Newsflash::: he got what he liked, I got what I like. We both spent well over 10k so we had a choice. There is a reason that there is more than one style of anything. But if you own a bike and you live in northern new jersey I will ride with you no matter what type it is. Its about the ride everything else isn't important.

Having ridden both back to back to back...... The F3 has more torque, but certainly did not seem faster, and if it was, I'm fairly certain that if it was, BRP wouldn't be claiming it was slower.......
But it just painfully lacks character, and it sounds like a hoover.

RS-S 0 TO 60 4.5 SEC.

F3 0 to 60 4.8 sec.
These times were from print.

If you think the RS-S is quicker than the 2008GS and 2009GS, you may want to rethink that. That 0-60MPH in 4.5 seconds came about with the 2008 year model, long before the RS-S came out. The RS-S has a better suspension set up than the GS/RS; so, it probably has the upper hand in the twisties.

No reason to think its slower, at least until the power drop and weight gain of later years.....
But we do KNOW the F3 is slower. It is odd the bias some have, I really can't figure how the previous poster said the F3 was way faster, back to back the slower revving 3 cyl in the F3 certainly does not feel more sporting, in any way.

I would like to say to those who Like their Spyder whatever the model......Great!! They make different models to accomodate different needs and tastes. And for those who for whatever the reason don't care for the F3, to each his own. There are however a couple of things about the F3 that are superior to the RS/RSS. The F3 is more adaptable to a wide range of rider types and is accomplished much easier than the RS/RSS. The F3 also requires less maintenance than any twin cylinder spyder. The F3 has greater range between fuel stops than the RS/RSS models.

Is the F3 faster to 60/overall? Don't know and I simply don't care. At my age getting somewhere the quickest and have the fastest thing around is the last thing I look at. Comfort, smoothness and being able to enjoy the ride is what I care about and the F3 should fill that need quite nicely.

One thing I am kind of courious about is when did BRP start putting a great sounding exhaust stock on the RSS? Any RS/RSS I have heard stock sounded like a "hoover"

Anyone out there thinking about a Spyder should look at all of them and weigh your needs and desires before selecting which model fits you the best. They are all good machines, but do have differences..

It's entertaining to me that you can't even say the RSS-S is better than the F3 in the RS/GS section of the forum. You're either 1)wrong OR 2) Just don't appreciate the F3's strengths.

I think because the word better is subjective to ones opinion and causes someone that disagrees to want to dispute the statement. So those that "prefer" the F3 should buy one.
