• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Snowmobiler becomes Spyderlover

I have been a voyeur on this site for some time and after a 6 week wait, I finally got my new RTS SE5 on 6/2/10. I never even test drove the thing since I only have a learners permit. I just sat on it and knew the spyder was for me. Let me first say that I have never ridden a motorcycle before, but I have been snowmobiling for the past 10 years. I was a little worried after reading some negative posts about the spyder handling, especially from motorcyclists, but after my first 300 miles I am loving my new RTS. The handling is exactly like riding my sled on a perfectly groomed trail, and the roll in the turns feels very natural to me. As a snowmobiler first, the SE5 is a snap to use. I am hooked and looking forward to putting many miles on this summer. The next thing I will need is a new helmet, my BRP modular 2 is tooooooo hot, I am thinking about a 3/4 open face. Happy trails!

Glad I'm not the only one that gets zoned out like that.

Welcome fellow sledneck and :congrats: on the purchase. Just don't get the urge to do any back country off trail carving on the Spyder. :D

:congrats: and welcome. It's going to become your favorite toy!

:congrats: welcome

The nice thing about the spyder is, when the snowmobiling season is done in the spring, you can go from the sled and onto the spyder! I've been on the spyder in the snow, but it's better to keep the snow for snowmobiling for sure. Enjoy your new ride!
