• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I'm thinking of towing :f_spider: down to florida for three months and back and back again, anybody ever rent a trailer?

I presume you're thinking of doing 2 one-way rentals? Not sure if you'd had many options than U-haul...

I looked at renting a trailer from Uhaul last summer to take mine up to Canada with me for a week. They had a couple of medium sized trailers that were just a hair too small for the Spyder, and next biggest option was a monstrously oversized trailer that I didn't want to bother with.

If you might do this more than once, you might want to buy one. I've been keeping my eye on Craigslist for various types of trailers (utility, snowmobile, etc) that might work, but haven't found the perfect one yet. If money's no obstacle, there's another thread on here that shows some trailers custom made for Spyders.

Ive never rented a trailer, But I'm thinking it's got to cost a couple of hundred bucks to rent. For about 950/1200 hundred dollars you can buy a new landscape trailer with an extra long [tall] gate, no need for a ramp then. And you'll have it when ever you need it.
Just something to think about.:dontknow:

I guess what I'm getting at is you could train both your car and your spyder to Flarda, do your thing in Flarda and then train both back to Alexandria and over to NJ.

When I was renting U-Haul trailers it was for local runs and ran $30 per day. The smallest trailer that my Spyder would fit on (tailgate width) was a double axle flatbed about 7 by 12. A 6 by 10 landscaping trailer will fit a Spyder, and can be picked up at most of the big box home improvement stores for ~ 1500 new. Hope you can find something that works.
