• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Smokey Mountail Rally Oct 6-9 2016

Spyderduck Rocks

Great job on the web site. If you have not visited it, do it. Use the drop downs in the top right corner and it's filled with info on Rides and signing up, vendors etc. Well done! When you see the preparation you know everyone will have a great time.

We have our room reserved at the Microtel.

i got my Spyder last fall, have not been able to attend any events, most anxious :yes:to go to this one. Can you tell me hotel where people will be staying, not a camper don't own a delux motor coach.

Joe
People will be everywhere. We are actually staying at the Microtel in Maggie Valley. If you are looking to stay in Maggie Valley, any place along Soco rd. (aka hwy 19) is close. I went last year when it was in Fontana Village, and stayed in Robbinsville. About 2-3 years ago it was in Maggie Valley in June while we were there for the M109 riders pre-meet. There were spyders all over the place. I didn't think that a few years later I would be an owner, but here I am, and enjoying every minute of it.

work weekend

I along with other will be running the Deals Gap/Cherohala Kkyway run for timing and stops. Tune in kiddies.

Thank you, sweetie, but actually, Catniption rocks. I am just her lowly assistant (and sister). As Deerslayer said, this weekend will be spent checking out some of the planned rydes for time and stops. We are still scrambling for ryde leaders (and 'assistant' ryde leaders for the middle and tailgunner positions), so anyone that is willing, please volunteer on the site.

Latest news - we have prototypes of the t-shirts, and are making minor adjustments to the design. We are also working on a gremlin bell with our logo, which has an actual Spyder (not the crawly kind) on it. Many people have expressed an interest in a bell with an actual Can-am Spyder on it, so we're trying to make it happen. Any proceeds from these items (and any others we can provide) will help pay for rally expenses; we are strictly non-profit.

We are SO looking forward to seeing everyone!

When do you thinks the t-shirts will be ready, and do you have an estimated price?

Anyone from VA riding down to Maggie Valley

There are 4 of us that are going to Maggie Valley Rally. We are coming from the Northern VA area. Anyone close by want to join us ride down together? We are planning on leaving early Thursday morning, at day-break, and take our time getting to Maggie Valley.

We'll have our RV packed probably Monday. Planning loading the Spyder on the trailer Tuesday evening. Leaving for Maggie Valley Wednesday around noon. It's only about an hour and half drive from the house. Looking forward to the trip, and meeting everyone.

If if anyone runs into a problem and needs help, please let me know. I'll have our trailer with us, and if needed I can run home and get the car so we can get you Spyder to Maggie Valley or anywhere else you want to take it. I'm listed in Spyder's to the Rescue on the home page, North Carolina, Hendersonville. Be sure to use the Texas cell number!

Weather for Maggie Valley looks like it's going to be very nice. Cool in the mornings, with no rain in the forecast at this time.

Hope everyone one has a safe trip!

My wife and I are going to try to make it, may arrive a little late. Will there be room at the festival grounds for two Spyders and a motorcycle popup tent?

Thanls

My wife and I will be coming from South Georgia, arriving Thursday afternoon. It will take us about 7 hours to get there, so we are really looking forward to it. Hope to do a meeting and greet with others!
