• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Went to home depot to get so tie downs for my backpack, etc for the sits trip.
Not having all that storage space on a rt I have to strap my stuff on.

I found this bungee system

Went home and tried out
I was impressed the ends snap on and hold securely
Nice to have a flexible system to strap down my stuff and those nervous passengers that keep wanting to jump off when they ride with me :ohyea:

Interesting system. Thanks for tipping us off. The closed loops may work well with the Spyder grab bars. I like the fact that you can connect them together for extra length.

I use any of three strap systems for my motorcycles. There are the Helen2Wheels PackStraps, the RokStraps, and the PiggybackStraps. All of these are some combination of straps with a closed loop at one end, that fastens around the motorcycle frame, grab bar, or seat. Much more secure than bungees...and fully adjustable. The Helen2Wheels straps are a two-piece pair of straps, with D-ring connectors. The RokStraps use a snap connector, and have an integral rubber section for flexibility and tension. Available in a mini-size, too. The PiggybackStraps use a double D-ring and have two cargo straps per side, so you can safely strap down two bags separately.

One caution about bungees...use extras. They break and they stretch, so you always need more than you think. Loop all straps through handles or other loops if you can, so if they come loose, you have a fighting chance to save your load.

+1 on the Rok Straps. I used those on my Trip of a Lifetime with IrishtotheMax and they worked great in holding my waterproof bag on the rear seat. When gasing up, I simply unsnapped the quick release and voila, I was good to go.

You can get a larger system for use with your 'Nervous' passenger. Limits their ability to shift around or exit the vehicle without authorization - Soft, durable material - does not restrict vision or abliby to turn their head.

Stows nicely when not needed and comes in various colors too!
