• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

i have the foam grips that lamonster and spyderpops sell and they work well.
i would like to find something like these that are a little bit cushier. could
also be a hair larger outside diameter. you folks know of something that might work?
any help would be appreciated.

Have you visited any dealers in your area ?
Many have some in stock hanging on a peg somewhere in the store.

I suspect that they are all pretty much alike though.
I've been using them for YEARS......and think all the ones I've had were about the same.

I can't recall if the Lamonster/Spyderpors foam grips are Grip Puppies or not. If they aren't you consider Grip Puppies. Have them on my BMW and like them alot. I can't tell you if the diameter is larger - the BMW is in Maine and I won't be there for a couple of weeks.

I've got the 2018 with the new foam grips. Are they at all similar in feel to the older grips with the Grip Puppies added?
If you know how to remove them without damage: I'm looking to swap...
:opps: The larger diameter doesn't work well with my hands...

Pipe insulation in the plumbing department at your local hardware store....

I've had good luck for years using tennis racquet wrap.
There are two thicknesses. Thin and foam backed. Get it at WalMart. Takes two packages for the foam backed. Put these on mine on the way home from picking it up at the dealership.
Adds enough diameter to make the grip feel good without being too big.
These are on mine with 6500 miles.

Well that's an interesting suggestion.

My gut reaction is: Might be WAY too thick and it might get slick when wet too.

I had a bad experience trying to use "grip cement" on "real" foam grips. Wonder what it would do to the foam pipe insulation ??

I figured it might be a quick and dirty way to find out if he really wants larger diameter. Once he knows how big to make the grips, then there are other products in the hardware store (usually pipe wrap stuff, but also foam window / door insulation) that could be adapted to that purpose.

I don't think the grip puppies or whatever they're called are going to be much larger in diameter than the ones we are used to getting from spyder after-market vendors.
