Slingshot delivery?

I was at the monthly breakfast meeting of the motorcycle club. One of the fellows there had ordered a slingshot back in July. He told me that the dealer had told him to expect delivery at the end of October, for what it is worth.

Later posts have been putting SS delivery in January and beyond. Let's hope that earlier is the correct answer--for those who are waiting. :yes:

My dealer said that the initial production run is 110% taken, on a first come basis - the next run won't be available until the holidays, perhaps longer. I was #3, so if he gets 4 or more, I'm good...

It's the best psychological ploy to keep you in the nest. Let's say they know it's going to be January, February or March before you see your new vehicle. If they tell you that you may take your ball and walk away.

But, if they tell you 'Next Month', then you hang in. Then they tell you 'Next Month' again. And by the time you figure out you're being told a tale, it really is coming next month and you are too far in to take that hike.

But seriously, this happens in all kinds of venues. From doctors telling you that your cast can come off next week, to people telling you 'The checks in the mail'.
