• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Slight play in the Tri Axis Handlebars on a 2015 RT Limited

I recently had the Tri Axis Handlebars installed on a 2015 RT Limited.

I have noticed that there is a slight play in the handlebars before they actually engage the wheels to move.

This play is in both directions.

I checked to be sure that all of three adjustment bolts were tight.

Is this normal?

The RT seems to handle OK but I am concerned that there may be a little tracking problem at high speeds.

Thanks for your response.

No..!!

they may be missing washers/spacers and the bolts are bottoming out. Check with "finless" he had an issue with those bars and a video. :yikes: should not be...:lecturef_smilie:

There is a minor amount of slop in my '14 RT-S Tri-Axis bars when it's sitting. There is a spec on how much is allowable but I don't remember it. I notice nothing on the road at any speed. If you have had it laser aligned with the Rolo system it will track so straight you could steer it with rowboat oars and it wouldn't make a bit of difference.

I did have a Rolo Laser Alignment.

I'm not sure if the slop was always there or just now.

I am going to see what the Dealer who installed has to say.

Thanks for your comments.

I reported the same thing to my dealer with the standard bars. They checked and said it was normal.....I checked other on the floor and found them the same. Never noticed any slop while riding.

The slop comes from the pin that holds the bars on the face plate. The pin allows you to adjust the bars up or down. It is normal, and you won't notice it when you ride.
