• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just another battery to worry about. With the ZUMO, SCALA Rider G9 and rear view mirrors it does the same thing for $1400 less.

The better solution is the ride: nuviz, it clips to any fullface or modular, and is 1/3rd the price, and will soon be out.

With the life of a helmet being about 5 years this only works out to be $300 a year and if you have a passenger you get to keep an eye on them with that rear view camera. What's not to like!:roflblack:
I think I will pass on this.

Gotta say..!!

I can put that kinda money to much better use. This is looking like something for the video world folks and not the outdoors wind in your hair types. But there will be those that will go for it....:)

I think these are a great idea, however the price is bordering on criminal. First off the only thing it has that you can't get in a 150 bluetooth helmet is the display. I get music, phone and turn by turn directions on my current helmet along with a drop down sun visor and DOT/ECE approved for $150. The camera is probably about 10$ tops and the little plastic thing that shows the display cant be that much. The best part is they have been taking peoples money for at least the last few months and it has not even been DOT approved. This company has never made a helmet before yet thinks $1500 is a fair price? Since no helmets have been produced it was nice of all those pre order people to give them the money they need to actually start making the helmets. By the time people actually get one there will probably be a copy at half the price or less. I hate the gouging on something that is safety related and could save lives. It anyone knows what spare air is it reminds me of that.

On my other forum (FZ6R) we actually started a how many skullys did your bike cost. I paid 7k OTD including taxes etc. for my brand new sport bike. So i could either buy a brand new sport bike or 4.5 helmets. Sorry little rant there.

Very interesting. I don't need the extra whistles and bells. $1,500 is also an "ouch" price for me, for a helmet. At the moment, $300 - $450 buys a pretty good one. IMO, of course.

With all those thoughts about safety, why isn't the helmet white? Quite a few studies show that white helmets reduces the probability of multi-vehicle accidents 23%. Wouldn't a cheapo white helmet be better tan a $1,500 black one?
