• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Sitting on a Spyder without asking? Anyone have this problem?

IF it was a woman, I WOULD walk up squeeze her hooter & tell her she had no sign saying not to, if she called the police i would deny
it & say i saw her on my bike & i believe she was trying to steal it.
anyone who has been to my store knows i have about 20 signs saying don't touch the lug nuts yet people do it everyday, i am not
nice to those people that can't read yet have a drivers license.

Wanna keep people from touching or even looking at your ride ????????? Park next to me........... :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

Ask Rnet...... he will tell ya !!!!!!!! nojoke

Love my Spyder peeps though, wouldn't trade them in for nothing. I'm waiting for the 2016 unveiling to see if it can persuade me to come back home.................. [emoji106]
I found the same thing when I road with John and his Rewaco. The spyder was invisible when parked next to it![emoji1]

Another solution.

 I LIKE it: you can limber up the shoulders, voice some displeasure, and swat some flies; all at once! :2thumbs:

Has happened

Last year had the old 2013 spyder to Watkins Glenn. The trails there are wet and muddy. When we got back there was a muddy shoe print dragged across the seat. My wife ordered cover from spydersisters that is like the BRP travel civer . Goes on simple with elastic. Covers from rear to handlebars .

what i really really hate are the parents who watch their kids touch others property and don't say anything too them and
then get upset at you when you yell at the kid or the parent.

What you did and said was no doubt acceptable, myself if they had a car there I wanted to buy, I would have pushed the issue for a much better deal. I am sure the General manager may have liked to have had a word with them...

PK

:agree: with you, but she did not find anything that she liked.

stiing on a spyder without asking

My solution was to make this and stick it over the safety card, then leave the safety card out when parked. I've seen people walk up to the Spyder, read it and take a quick step back:-)

What a brilliant idea, makes more sense than the dumb garbage BRP wrote on the "safety" card:clap:

Check out a product called larryalert. It will notify you by phone if anyone is near your bike also sounds a siren, takes 15 pictures and lets you talk to the person that triggered the alarm. Sends pictures to your phone. Not sure yet as to the distance it will work. It's not made for long distance monitoring.

Happened twice. Both times I opened my vest to reveal my concealed carry gun. I then advise them that folks have been shot for lesser offenses!! End of discussion!!

half cover

A few friends have mentioned that this has happened to them. They walk out of a store and someone is sitting on their Spyder snapping away with their phone. Is there a way to prevent people from sitting on a Spyder when the owner isn't around? If you have had a similar experience leave your story here if possible!
We came back to our spyder, after walk the gorge at Watkins Glenn. There was a muddy track across the seat where someone's shoe drug across while getting on or off. My wife bought a lightweight half cover from Spydersisters. Very quick and easy to put on.

This worked twice you mean, because you were fortunate enough to be around the vehicle twice when it happened. Scaring people of is also not really a solution, it won't stop the next stranger trying to sit on the bike, at all, ever, until you bully them around with a gun again. Fighting symptoms, not the cause.

Good way to lose your CC.

As a fellow Ohio CC license holder I can tell you that what you are doing is called MENACING. I'm sure your CC instructor explained that to you in class. You will lose your Privilege to carry and you will be arrested IF someone reports your behavior. Randy
