• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Sitting on a Spyder without asking? Anyone have this problem?

Sorry, I sat on your trike...Is that one of those Spyders? Anyways, I forgot I had roofing tar on my jeans and shingle cutter in my back pocket....Hey, HEY WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH MY SHINGLE CUTTER? THE SUN DON'T SHINE THERE, HEY OWWW...OWWWWWWW...my bad.

Had this happen to me once. I asked the guy where his car was. He pointed it out to me and I went and sat on the hood of his very expensive Lexus. Boy was he pissed! I pointed out that it was no different from him sitting on my Spyder, and that kinda took the wind out of his sails. I would have rather punched his lights out, but my darling bride advised me that I really would not want to get arrested. I now have a "sunscreen" that I got from Spyder Sisters, and it not only keeps idiots from sitting on my Spyder, it has the added benefit of keeping the seat from baking in the sun. Check 'em out.

Another vote for spyder sisters. I emailed to ask for a black one when it wasn't listed on their site. It's a great product to keep by buns cool on a hot day with the added benefit of keeping people off my RT.

I will have a little sign made and leave it on the seat.

I use to work at a retail grocer many years ago. A number of us rode our motorcycles to work. Having people sit on them was common and irritating. The parents use them like coin operated ponies.....I came out once and told a parent it was not a pony to ride on....to get their kid off of it !

Another time......my motorcycle was tipped over....(atleast that cant happen with the :spyder2: ).

Arg !!!!!!!!!!!!!! :yikes:

I love it! I've been wondering what to put on the safety card for when I pull it out to shade the instrument panel. This is what I'm going to make!

Thank you!

Another option: Just right click on the imagine and "save imagine as" then print.

Had a lot of people sit on my RS without asking but so far people look but don't touch without asking. The RS was a pretty blue where the F3 is kind of an obnoxious orange so I wonder if that has something to do with it.

Wanna keep people from touching or even looking at your ride ????????? Park next to me........... :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

Ask Rnet...... he will tell ya !!!!!!!! nojoke

Love my Spyder peeps though, wouldn't trade them in for nothing. I'm waiting for the 2016 unveiling to see if it can persuade me to come back home..................

If they come out with a new latest and greatest, there are probably quite a few also sitting on the fence. 45 hours or so to go--if you are counting. :roflblack::roflblack:

I second the Scorpio alarm system. I have one on each of our RT's. The proximity sensor does the trick of allowing folks to get close enough for a look, but not too close. If they stay too close, climb on or do any other prohibited action, not only do they get the audible alarm on the bike itself, I also get notified on the RFID remote in my pocket. This alarm is great since all you have to do to disarm it is just get the remote near the bike. That is the beauty of the RFID system. To arm it...just walk away. Installation is a breeze and no computer problems.

+1 on the Spyder Sisters Sun Shade cover. Earlier this month, a group of us rode to Pennsylvania to meet with the Pennsylvania Spyder Ryders. One evening when we left a restaurant where we'd had dinner, there were greasy little fingerprints all over the chrome on a friend's Spyder. I've never had that happen with the cover on it - and on hot days, the seat stays at ambient temperature.

FYI the Scorpio alarm system is no different than the SPY 5000 just higher priced. Does everything the same, same remote, etc.

I have never had it happen to me yet, but I have a BRP 1/2 cover that I use ( covers handlebars, seat, part of trunk) after I get to work. I do lock my handlebars when I am out doing errands. Deanna
