• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

SIRIUS XM RADIO

mount the receiver in your top trunk...
hook it into the 12 volt receptacle for power
(CAUTION: make sure that this is only powered when the key is on...)
mount your antenna up under the lid at the top of the box...
Take the MP-3 player cord, and plug it into the speaker output port on the receiver. Plug your cord into BRP's stereo plug in the trunk!

That’s the way I installed mine. Just mount it this way, turn it on, and start riding. Works perfectly, and.......I have the lifetime package....no monthly or yearly reminders, mind you I’ve had mine for a goodly number of years. Plus, I can move it into my car.

Hi trikemutha,
I have a subscription to sirius (built in radio - 2017 RtL). What I do is take it by the month and then phone sirius and put a suspension on it for 6mos. while I store my bike for the winter. It reactivates just in time for the riding season. Usually???? April to end of Oct. If I ride a little sooner or a little later I'm not too worried about not having the radio for a few rides.

Well I finally pulled the plug and ordered an OYNX EZ Sat Radio Receiver with Veh Kit .... should arrive Sat. .... and will be installed Sat.:yes::yes:................Mike .................Edit - actually might arrive Thurs.

How is the reception compared to the Shark radio's?

Will the reception be good mounted in the Frunk of the F3's? I have the Sharp & I only use the USB with tunes loaded on it. My Fm reception is terrible.

Used one for three years and finally decided to stream XM via my iPhone.
Results never looses connectivity and can change "channels" on the go.

The " reception " is from the " Antennae " …. not the unit itself …… I have an RT, a friend who worked for Sirius said I would get better reception if I mounted the Antennae to a small metal plate ( normally it's the metal car roof ) so I did and the reception improved..... Also reception from Sirius varies according to your Latitude in relation to It's Satellite system ….. hope this helps ….. Mike :ohyea:
