• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

And rightfully so the man who helped Spyder get to where it is has the first.. Now I want mine lol.. And thanks again Lamont for the hospitality you showed my wife and I.. You are a class act..

Thanks Doc but this is a short term loan. I will say if you have any hands on burning questions I'll do my best to answer them. :doorag:

burning questions ..

it would be intresting how many parts could be installed on the older RS/RT Modells - the wheels - the brakes - the fenders - the shield - heated grips - are there "new" adapters for the Givi-cases - has the handlebar the same wholes than the RT/RS and whats about fuel-consumption & heat management & VSS sensibility ..

:dontknow:

Raining here now and they were calling for 2" of snow so the Dragon is out today and no sunshine pics.:banghead:

:dontknow:

  • The wheels could swap but is not endorsed or recommended by BRP because it will change the handling dynamics.
  • Not sure on the brakes but the same caution would be applied if they did bolt up.
  • The fenders will work on the older models I'm pretty sure.
  • There is a heated grip option now but I'm pretty sure you would have to come up with your own power.
  • I have no idea on the Givi bags and brackets. You could see if they are a different part number.
  • The handle bars look like they would bolt up on the RT but I have not tried it. You would have to change the yoke on the RS and even then I'm not sure if there would be any other issues. The RS now comes stock with a 1" rise in the bars
  • There has been a heat management change on the ST compared to the RS but nothing on the RT other than the heat shield on the pipe.
  • Fuel consumption is suppose to be a little better. I'll be able to say for sure when it stops raining.
  • The VSS is the latest generation Bosh and I was able to kick it in but not near as soon

Lamont, I know I am a little slow and usally speak before I read all the post.. But I thought you told me you had a yellow one ordered.
