• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Significant Lag/Delay during hard acceleration between 1st and 2nd

No, and not happy!!

I am waiting for BRP to contact me back today. I just called them after asking them to get back to me by the end of day on Thursday (asking last Friday) to give them time to talk to the dealer on what the next steps will be.

I don't want to say much more until I hear from BRP. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE!!!!!!!

Let me try and add a bit more clarity to describe the issue and I may be repeating myself.

-Back the motorcycle out of garage then go forward up my driveway to the entrance of my subdivision, probably 1/2 mile. Never checked the engine temperature before to know temp by the time I got there. About 20 thru subdivision.
-Exiting the subdivision there are blind spots so they even have a mirror on the pole across the street, but you do not want to come out of there very slow.
-Most times, not all, I will turn onto the main road then go straight and accelerate from 1st to 2nd and many times there is a significant lag as described above by myself and others. I am not in the process of turning when I do some "hard" accelleration.
-It seems to get better as it warms up but NOT ALL THE TIME.
-I have had similar things happen between 2nd and 3rd with some hard accelleration even after multiple miles down the road.
-It has been in the shop for about a total of about 8 weeks since the begining of the year and the dealer is doing a great job with multiple attempts based on BRP suggestions.
-There is not confusion from the dealer that this is an issue. He personally has owned many Spyder and never experienced this issue or had a customer come in with a simialr issue.

Let me repeat again this is a SAFETY ISSUE! If I need extra power to avoid something I am afraid it will not be there when I need it!

I am new to TN. Is there a lemon law for a 2nd owner motorcycle that is still under the original warrantee until July 2014?

Good thing I still have my Goldwing to ride and enjoy the mountains roads of North East TN!!

Any HELP or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Called BRP

Called BRP and had to leave a message after they told me they would get back to me. Decided to try one more time and the customer service person said she had an emergency and would call me back in the morning. I hope they do because this is getting frustrating!

Help with the other questions above would be appreciated. If you do not want to post a PM would be appreciated.

Making Progress

There is no question now that this is a defect and BRP is working with the dealer to get it corrected.

I've had the same problem with my 2012 RT. I'll leave work in the afternoon, so it's a little warmer and it's 25 mph out to the highway. Luckily I have an entrance lane, because I to have almost ended up in the windshield, because it seems to almost shut down. It doesn't do it all the time, so it is hard to come up with possibilities. I'd appreciate any clues.

My 2012 RT I purchased December 2012 does similar thing. Random hesitation in shifting can be from any gear whether engine hot or cold. After 12000 miles I don't notice it as much. I don't believe it is a bad as it use to be but it still does it occasionally.
