OK, I did some searching but unless I missed it I can find nothing specific. Dealer has been great but my first impressions of BRP is lacking.
It is a 2012 RT Limited that I purchased last November with 750 miles. I have put on about 800 miles since then but have been careful if I am in a situation where hard accelleration is needed.
Maybe some fellow members can help with some suggestions. The dealer has confirmed multiple times that this is a real issue and not my imagination! Anyone else out there run into a similar issue with their Spyder?
First thing in the morning when I leave if I try some hard accelleration there is about a 1-2 second lag/delay between 1st and 2nd to the point that it is a safety issue. RPM's basically drop completely then kick in. It is less likely to do it once it is warmed up. It has happened in other gears but not as severe.
It has been in the dealer 3 times 3/4, 3/29 and now since 4/8. It never went away regardless of the changes they made. My apologies for not knowing the exact terms on what they changed since it is all related to the automatic shifting mechanism. So basically i have had the bike on the road for 70% of the time. Luckily I have a Goldwing and Silverwing that I can depend on.
I have also opened a case# with BRP that was pushed up to a supervisor. Out of curiosity how long does it take for the BRP supervisor to get back to you? Great customer service to at least confirm that I have an issues would be 24 hours. I still have not heard anything.
Any help would be appreciated because I do like the bike but still getting used to it.
