There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I bought the one on ebay from motorcityperformanceplus for 215.00 and it came in a custom dynamics box complete with the plug in cable and a wire fetching tool along with the instruction sheets. I also bought the dual convertor cable. The instruction sheet saids for Series Spyder RT HMT Installation Guide. Same one only cheaper. Way cool light and super brite. Can't imagine anyone behind me not seeing that.

I read another thread about these lights and turn signals---
I have been thinking of adding the amber fender LED's to my RT-S with turn signal capability, but I read another link on SL that some one had installed similar on their and they now have a rapid blinking turn signal when the brakes are applied. So may wait some before I act upon my desire to add this to mine.
I know I was also told-even with a brake light strobe that sometimes they cause issues with the onboard computers and was advised to not do that according to my dealer that my HMT light along with the stock brake lights on the RT were plenty enough of visibility from behind to protect us. JUST FYI!

Installed it yesterday and it was a walk in the park. Looks like it should have been there all along and even has a chrome strip that runs along the top. In fact wife even said it looks better with it then without. And talk about bright its bright! Also installed the rear red side lights while I was at it to replace the red reflectors. Not its even more cool. Wife and I took it out for a spin last night and to get something to eat and we pulled into a dollar general to pick up something she needed and there sat three other spyders. Bout fell of my spyder could not believe what I was seeing. Anyway all three riders were standing there talking so we kinda just joined the group and wow that was fun. There were two RT'S and one ST plus our RT.Didn't know there were that many spyders in this small town. Was told there is another green ST running around that is really loud. Anyway both RT riders seen my brake light and wanted to know where I got it and both want one also. Told them in my opinon its a must have and they both agreed. Both of them thought it looked like it was a factory. Probably the best two hundred bucks I ever spent.

Just finished installing Custom Dynamics Red Bright Sides,Mud Flaps and Magic Strobe Break Flashers. Got the Amber Bright Sides from Value Accessories. And the HMT from Motorcycle Performance Plus through ebay. (Custom Dynamics was out of stock of HMT lights) Ebay was less expensive. I also got mirror turn signals from Auto Zone. Saved some $$ by getting from Value and Ebay. It's still a very expensive mod, it's amazing how much they light their lights!
I LOVE all the lights and they all work great! Thanks to Spyderlovers Forums suggesting how to install and where to get the best price. What an AWESOME group.
