There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. I am guessing you pulled on the rear levers??

They are on cables if you did pull the levers you could remove some of the rear Tupperware to gain access to the cables.

While pulling on the lever tap the side cover and they usually pop open.

Sounds like both cables are either disconnected at the levers in the back or at the side compartments. I bet the other owner was doing some repairs and forgot to hook them back up. Nice looking bike and :welcome:

Since I'm new to the Spyder (had a Harley for several years), how can I access the cables?

@Ex-Rocket....Thank you!!!! :2thumbs:

I have the same problem. You probably need to push on the corresponding saddle door while pulling the lever to open it. Mine will open up at that point.

I haven't had this problem so I'm just putting this out there. Can you open the rear trunk? If you can you might try to see with a flashlight and see if you can see the cables if they are connected to the 2 rear levers. If you see the cable are connected at the 2 rear levers then they are most likely off at the side compartments. If that is the case, I'm totally lost at that point as far as getting the side compartments open. Good luck.

Open the rear top trunk and start removing the screws for the Tupperware. The cables will be were the top truck latch is located or just below that area.

I would try to tap/push the side cover while pulling the latch first

If a push on the front of the side compartments while pulling the lever does not open it then open the trunk and with a flashlight look down each hole to see if the cable is connected. You can see it move as you pull the lever.

My left saddle bag will only open if I pull the lever then give a bump as if to close it with my hand.

I also had some issues with my 2014 RT-S. I had the dealer adjust the cables and no problems since. I am not mechanically inclined.

I had the same issue with my 2012 RTS-SE5, I took it to the dealership, they fixed it( it was under warranty). Deanna

That's just being mean to Deanna, and not relevant to this thread. BTW, I have my fire suit on, so blast away!
