• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Wife is interested in their backrest for the 2014 RT. Anyone have any experience with them?
I had one on my 2014 RT until I came across a smoking deal on the OEM one. I thought it was very nice. It actually had more movement and flexibility than the OEM did. The thing that impressed me was the price. I wish they had something priced like that for the F3t. My only complaint would be that you cannot remove just the backrest without having the mounting hardware from the base sticking up through the seat. But once it was on, I never removed it.View attachment 146450

Just put mine on. Super easy installation, and it really does the trick. Easy to tip forward so my passenger can get on without trouble. Might be an issue for a "portlier" passenger, but any driver backrest would be the same. I'd buy it again, one of the best bargains out there IMHO. BTW, I have a 2010 with a 2014 seat.

I put one on my rt and it does the trick. I got the one with the bigger pad. Easy to install just tough to make that first cut in the seat:gaah:

Installed one on my 2015 RT-S and am very pleased. I chose the small pad and it's entirely acceptable. However, if I were to buy another I'd opt for the large pad. It's virtually identical in size as the OEM backrest on my wife's 2012 RT Limited. We went for a 200 mile day tour last week and swapped machines half way. Though I like my backrest very much, I really like her larger pad.. She loves her twin and I love my triple so we're two happy Spyder riders - with comfortable back rests.

One suggestion re: cutting the slot in the foam. If you have an electric knife it's the perfect tool.
