• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Show Chrome Passenger Arm Rest

Does anyone have this passenger arm rest?

I'm looking for a set, but do not want to drill any new holes. These seem to mount pretty good underneath the seat.

The description says it swivels, but I can't verify that with what they show.

What can anyone tell me about these? Do you like them?

I have the Big Bike Parts Show Chrome Passenger arm rests (the ones for the Spyder) and my wife loves them, they are stable and they swivel, no holes to drill. Harvey at Spyderpops handles them give him a call 1 501 627-4008 he is a Spyderlovers Vendor.

only thing I did additionally was to tighten the arm-bolts where they swivel by an additional 1/2 turn.

That's what I was thinking also. I love that the base swivels, but how does it lock going down the road?
It is ok going down the road. If you don't tighten them a little extra they tend to move a bit if you don't have a passenger. After the extra tightening I had no more problems in that regard. Just use a wrench on the top and one on the bottom. Otherwise the bolt just spins in the tube assembly.

Diamond r armrests

I have the diamond r armrest on my rt. VERY easy to put on, swivels with friction but strong enough not to move around without a passenger. The wife LOVES them! They're also a sponsor on here.

DiamondR armrest

I certainly do recommend these. There are no holes to drill and the mounting plate fit like a glove....the included bolts were right on. The wife loves them and they stay 'folded' in when placed...I recommend them:thumbup:

I certainly do like the Diamond R armrest, especially with the passenger cup holder.

That's just a lot of dough to shell out for some armrests. :sour:

You can pay 500.00 for arm rests or you can pay 169.00 for arm rests and at the end of the day all you will have are armrests so spend what you want.

I installed a set on my buds RT, very easy to do. You can set the tension on the arms , there is a set screw on the side of the bolt so that it stays in place, once set. Trick is to get the hinge bolt in first then move on too the other two screws.

I just installed the armrests and the seat pad on my 2012 RT-S
The arm rests are a little loose on the swivel.
I tightened the friction bolt but as soon as you swivel them they loosen up.

Question: How much weight can you actually put on those armrests before things start getting a bit... :yikes:?
I had a guy who was a bit "heavy-handed", climb on the bike using the Missus' Diamond-Rs for support...
The results weren't pretty! :gaah:
