• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

short bio, have been on and off bikes for over 47 years, recent back surgery has removed me from the two wheel crowd, truth be know I'm really happy it did, wife and I are really enjoying the 2015 F3S we just picked up last Saturday. great forum here, used it to do a lot of research before my purchase. looking forward to learning from the wise old timers and hope to be able to add some of my past experiences

I'm getting to be in the same boat so-to-speak. I had two retina reattachment surgeries on the same eye in ten days. I'm also having lower back and knee issues making handling a big two wheeler a challenge in and out of my garage and backing out as well as low speed maneuvers with my legs pushing the weight. A real challenge would be if the nearly 900 pound bike would ever drop and I wouldn't be able to get it back up. Now that the eye is questionable I'm really thinking this a good time to make the switch to three wheels. I need to feel safer and more secure, especially if my wife wants to ride as passenger. My local dealer has a new leftover 2016 Spyder F3T reduced in price and that might be the ticket. Congrats on you getting your F3, I'm sure it was the right choice.

thanks for the welcome guys
den1953. I fully understand. I've had my knee done as well. I had been looking at a HD ultra until I tried to pull it up off the stand and felt it in my back that's not including my wife which isn't a small women, wasn't really interested in the HD or Honda trike, my internet searching showed me a third option the spyder. took a demo and no issue with the back, wife was happy and here I am. glad I found it!

Welcome from another N. Texan

Congrats on your purchase and welcome..! We too just pulled the trigger on our RT this past June and have never regretted it ..! Have already put over 3K mi. on it and have become very comfortable with it. It does take a while to get to that point if you’re used to 2 wheels. Maybe after the weather warms up we could all meet up and head out for a bit.
Enjoy ..!

Welcome

I also made the change from 2 wheels to 3 with a 2015 F3S, and would be happy to ryde to meet you. Although perhaps when it warms up a little ;)

Welcome neighbor

Welcome from Ellis County south of DFW area. We have an RTL and F3T and would love the opportunity to meet and ryde soon.
