• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Shouldn't be long now!!!!!!

I went to a dealer north of Houston (Conroe) when I found out they were gonna be a dealer (Ealrly March 08). They hadnt announced it yet, but I put down the first deposit on one. He wanted $500, fully refundable if I backed out. When they announced they were going to be a :spyder: dealer, the other owner called me back and wanted another $500 for a total of $1000 to open a certificate with BRP. At that point, he still wouldnt give me a full price breakdown for the bike on paper, so I told him forget it. He decided I was worth the risk, and let me just ride on with my refundable $500 deposit. Im still first on his list for delivery, and he just recently (2 days ago) quoted me over the phone a price of
MSRP plus
$400 color differential (Yellow or red)
$595 Shipping / prep
TTL
Should be about 17500 ish out the door.
Delivery should be in July, but possible for June sometime. Im ready!!!! ;D

So you finally took the plunge? FANTASTIC!

Did you decide on what color.....Red or Yellow?

:congrats:

Yes....LOL
Believe it or not, my dealer (since Im the first in line) didnt make me commit to a color. If a Yellow rolls off the truck first, guess what Ill be on. If by some freak chance a Yellow and Red come on the same truck, I guess Ill have to make a decision then...LOL

FYI that F&P is little high and they should give you an out the door price before you put your deposit down. The Red Roadster will not be deleivered until September so you will either get a Yellow or Silver one. Delivery on the first units if your deposit was in prior to April 30th will be in June. Good Luck and enjoy your Spyder. For those of you out there price checking remember there are a few handfull of dealers in Texas and some of them are charging big for F&P and some just what the dealership charges. Check out Spyder Website for all the dealers and call around they have to give you an out the door Price. If they dont they are hiding something.

It is what it is.
Sometimes its worth a lil more to keep the guys happy that will be working onn it for you. Just my thoughts.

Understood just letting everyone know what I have found! Want to make sure everyone is as happy as I am with my Spyder

LJ... :congrats:

You have it made, man. No commitment on color? Wow! I wish I had that freedom, because I'm not sure I still want the yellow. But I'm not too worried about it since I've seen so many custom paint jobs done that look simply fantastic. If I get tired of the yellow, I'll just put a new coat of paint on it! ;D

Actually ... I think your freight and prep are right on the money... I paid a bit more.. some have paid a bit less... but $ 17500 ish out the door is decent.... considering taxes and all....

Now you can finally let someone else ride your current 'trike' !

You are gonna LOVE having one of these!

Yeah I have gone into this with this dealer expecting the worst, just in case. So far, they have been nothing but fair and truthful. Im hoping the good relations continue for the life of the bike. Im still torn on color (red vs yellow) but Im not so set on red that if a yellow one comes in next month, I wont be all over it...LOL Im with you on the paint, if I get tired of it, Ill paint it.
