• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

SHOULD SPYDER OWNERS BE OFFENDED

Most of the comments I get are out of curiosity about the machine. I do occasionally get someone who wants to take a closer look at how the whole thing works and asks questions about quality and how the various systems work. The latter are usually long time riders or gear heads. I have had a few smart a$$ comments, but they usually come from some idiot who just wants to show off for his buddies. I figure their collective IQ's don't add up to much and just look at them as future organ donors as they tear out on their obviously superior machines ;)

I remember one time when my wife and I were at a dealer that carried snowmobile parts that I needed for maint. work and while we waited, the wife said "look hun, they sell those three- wheeled things!" and I said ,yeh I think they are called "Spyders". Well a salesman must of heard us talking about them and came over and explained the benefits of the three-wheeled design, and I said, yep I can see the reasoning behind those but we ride a Gold Wing now and I really don't see no reason to own one and I guess they would be great for someone that has everything and wants something else to add to their collection or if someone is handicapped I.E. lost a limb, can't balance a two-wheeler, or some other limitation, I could see the reason to buy one and that would be a great reason to have one. Weeeeeeell, three years later I broke my Rt. leg just below the knee in 8 places and a year later, I had major Lt. foot reconstruction. Moral of the story...... I'm still eating my words!!!! And yes, I go to that dealership to have my rear tire(s) mounted and say " I know... I'm not worthy!! :banghead: Mac:doorag:
