• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

:welcome:

The only solution for this issue is to get some aftermarket highway pegs or floorboards. There are many choices available from the sponsors on this site, and numerous threads discussing each option.

:agree:Highway brackets and pegs, you may also want a handlebar riser kit . All this and more are sold by site sponsors on the openning page .

I haven't seen the hip issue mentioned much. When I first sat on a Spyder I found it kind of uncomfortable on my hip. It might have something to do with the fact that I broke it when I was 12, and it still sometimes flares up. I bought one anyway, and I don't know if my muscles stretched a bit or what, but the hip issue faded away with a few [cumulative] hours of riding.

As for the legroom issue, personally I just find it most comfortable to slide my but back a bit. I tend to sit right where that hump is separating the driver/passenger portions. One of these days I'll get the seat re-upholstered to take out that hump. This leaves me leaning forward a bit more to grasp the handlebars, which one could offset with risers, but for the type of Ryding I do, I don't mind the posture. However, if your intention is to take cross-country trips, you should consider the RT.

need more legroom

thanks to all replies, i was just hoping for a harley type kit that could move the foot controls several inches forward and down a little. i guess the seal floorboards would be the next best thing.just trying to not spend 500.00 on a solution. has anyone tried to fab up forward controls yet?seems like a real money maker. the last set i bought from harley was 450.00, ten years ago.

On the RS models I mover the Foot brake 2" forward. That allows me to stretch my legs and brake with my heel. It is a very natural movement and takes very little time to adapt to either heel or toe braking.

Ride in comfort,
