• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Short Arms Seeking Adj. Handlebar Advice/Review

Good day, all!

I have a '12 RT, bone stock, and have recently crested the 12K mark!

I am, to minor dismay, a vertically challenged individual seeking advice on the adjustable handlebars.

I am most interested in finding those of you who have made this change and if you were pleased with the results. They are a bit pricey, but at the end of the day I can hardly put a price tag on my overall comfort.

The dealer I purchased my RT from doesn't stock a lot of the accessories I am interested in, but they advised me to seek the knowledge of my peers, so here I am!

I just got into eBay, and the cheapest I've found them is for $589USD which is actually $596USD after the shipping. Also, does anyone know how hard they are to install? Do I have to go to a dealer or can my "handyman" husband knock it out?

Please, let me know if you can, thanks!

Info on Tri Axis Adjustable Handlebars

Just had these installed by the dealer.
BRP instructions indicated 2.5 hour install time.
Actual install time by certified tech 5.5 hours.

Adjustment is via an 8mm allen wrench (provided)
also requires a 3mm allen wrench if you have the GPS Mount.

They are easy to adjust and have a wide range of angle and height.

Have ridden about 1000 miles since install and can recommend
this addition if you have short arms and have to stretch for the
stock bars.

You're absolutely right; how can you put a price tag on comfort? So if your dealer were to charge shop time based solely on what the instructions say; it might not be as bad as you think... The discount that you'd get from careful shopping goes a long way toward eating up the cost of installation...
Good luck with this decision!

Thank you, kindly! I am still watching those bars on eBay, so I will give my dealer a call and see what install would be. -Hopefully it works out in my favor and they haven't seen this thread, LOL!
