• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The wife and I have debated for a couple of years now and have decided to take the plunge and buy an RT Limited. We really liked the 2012 lava bronze but after lurking on this forum we see that there are not that many changes between the '11 and '12. The white would actually look good parked next to our '08 Saturn Sky (white with black top). Any suggestions on purchase will be
appreciated. Purchase date is March unless we find a great deal now. Slightly used would be possible.

Welcome to our lilttle slice of the pie!
As to your question: Lava Bronze or Pearl White?
The easy answer is "YES!" :2thumbs:

My 2012 Lava Bronze limited has been on order for over three months.. BRP is now telling me that if I don't get it in Jan, It will surely come in Feb - If I had it to do over again I go with the lower price (discount) and availability of the 2011. good luck...

They have a 2012 Lava Bronze with black seat at Hattiesburg cycles in Hattiesburg, MS on the floor. But if I were to get the Lava Bronze it would have to have the tan seat, which they would have to order. I've been quoted a price of $26,000 over the phone from Denham Springs; this is only the beginning of negotiation. Hattiesburg did not want to talk price unless I was ready to by right then which was a couple of weeks ago. Planning on going by there this weekend and get serious!

:welcome: They are both nice colors--it's what you want or like the best that counts.

Not enough difference for me between the 2011 and 2012's other than color choice. A better deal should be had on the 2011.

I am still driving my 2010 and waiting to see what happens in 2013.

.......... I see a scam going on here thats below dealer cost, way below. My question is if they will lie to you on the purchase price, what can you expect from there...Is the bike setup right do they train there teck, or just do the fly by night enternet classes??? The bitterness of a pour service and things not being setup right, is far longer remembered the sweetness of a cheap deal....don't just buy on price alone, buy on quailty, honesty, and reliabilty. Something done right is never regretted, and remember the spyders are not your average run of the mill bike. Good luck with your buy, and welcome to the spyder world.
:agree: The purchase of a Spyder is pure negotiation; the rest (setup, maintenance and service) is in the hand of good mechanic (not technicians, nor technologists). So, we don't have to read later thatyour Spyder is in the shop for over 4 months.
PS to SierraSunshine: What is "night enternet classes"? Internet or ethernet? :roflblack::joke:

The guys at Hattiesburg Cycles have always been very reputable with my dealings with them. When my spyder has had issues they have tried their best to resolve. I have seen the Lava Bronze model on the show room floor and it looked very nice. I did not ask any one about a price though.

A 2012 for 26K, I wonder what their freight, prep and Doc-Fees are? Hum probably about 4K, lol... Always get OTD pricing and have them e-mail it to you, confirm with the sales manager or owner before flying in. If it's out of state you will have to register and pay the sales tax when you get home.
