shifting solenoid replacement

I have a 2011 SE-5 RSS that keeps giving me a "check transmission" light. oil is fine. today it wouldn't shift out of third until i decreased the RPMs. never went into limp mode but real concerned about a BIG$$$ REPAIR. Any ideas from this great group of spideymasters?:gaah:

When was an oil and filter change last performed? (ie. How many miles ago?) A stopped up transmission filter can cause shifting problems I've read several times already.

How many miles are on your Roadster?

I'm sometimes see the shift solenoids listed on Ebay, they shouldn't be too hard to replace yourself if you believe one is malfunctioning. I'd go with a complete oil and filter change 1st though, just to be sure!
