• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

i started my spyder today and it was running fine. i got to my destination and my son go on the seat and shook the handle bars and the whole bike. when i restarted my spyder to go back home, it started fine but it would not shift into gear? i opened up the fuse box to make sure all the fuses were intact and they were. i started my spyder and still it didnt want to shift into gear. I shut it off and waited 5 minutes and restarted and went to shift gear and it shifted? anyone else have this kinda problem before??

Sometimes the little aluminum or steel arm attaches to the splines of the shifter stub coming out of the transmission can work it self loose and affect the shift.
There is an Allen head that can tighten this to the stub and an Allen wrench that fits is in the toolkit.

On an SE when it is loose it can affect the shift index.

Did it try to shift and fail or not do anything at all? If it failed to make the shift you will hear a click and the engine will rev 3 times, then give up trying to shift.

it didnt shift at all! i know you can hear and feel it shift to 1st gear. but NOTHING!:dontknow:

right track

So if it did not try to shift at all then you are on the right track looking at the electrical. Since its working now it could have been a loose fuse and you already fixed it. Drive on and have fun. If it happens again it is time to dig deeper.
